I bake a few cookies at Christmas. Both of my step sons adore your Pecan Bourbon Balls. My two sons aren't crazy about bourbon but they love your Bourbon balls also. Funny story this past Christmas my daughter in law thought they were peanut butter balls. She doesn't eat nuts at all but the first bourbon ball was so good she ate all the balls my son took home for himself. He said he went looking them and they were all gone. He asked his wife where we're they. She said they were sooo good she ate them all!

Oh my goodness, that is hilarious Jean! Sounds like your daughter-in-law had a whoops but worth it moment. I'm so glad the Bourbons Balls were a hit, even with the non-bourbon fans!! Tell your son he may need to hide his stash next year, or you might need to double the batch! 😀

This is an incredible line up of Christmas cookies - some I'm never heard of before. Those Rudolph cookies are adorable and I know my granddaughter will love them. My favorite is the Coconut Macaroons, but most of my family will disagree with me - hubby likes the peanut butter cookies, and kids like anything with Oreos. I'm definitely going to try the Pecan Bourbon Balls. I start baking cookies about the first week of December - we love to exchange cookie trays with our neighbors and church friends. Another tradition we have is we always do Mexican food for Christmas Eve dinner followed by everyone taking home a huge tray of assorted cookies. My trays will have some new recipes on them this year. Thank you so much for these recipes. I've really enjoyed this week of you and Marye's recipes!

It sounds like your holidays are full of warmth and flavor. I'm so glad the Rudolph cookies caught your eye, they're such a hit with little ones! And coconut macaroons? Classic and underrated if you ask me. I think you're going to love the pecan bourbon balls… maybe even more than your peanut butter-loving hubby! 😉 It means the world that you’ve enjoyed this week of recipes from Marye and me—wishing you the merriest season of baking, sharing, and making delicious memories! 🎄🍪❤️

Christmas always brings bake sales and cookie sharing parties. One of the most popular I get asked to make are Russian teacakes. Everyone in the family has a favorite, molasses, chocolate, shortbread and the every popular chocolate chip. You have so many that I haven't seen before so will be trying them this year

If I had to choose from the cookie recipes featured this week, it would be the triple chocolate chip. When I do bake cookies I make butter cookies using a cookie press. These can be baked ahead and they freeze very well. Even though it doesn't look festive like a holiday cookie, I make assorted Hungarian filled cookies using a cream cheese dough, with 3 different fillings, nut, apricot and lekvar(prune) that are sprinkled with plain powdered sugar. These freeze well too, just thaw them out and then sprinkle with powdered sugar. These disappear from the cookie tray as quickly as I put them on it! However, I prefer making appetizers. Ahead of time I make lump crab meat stuffing which I form into balls and I freeze them individually then pop into a zip lock bag, Then when I want stuffed mushrooms, just pop them into mushroom caps and bake.

We give cookie boxes to our employees, company men in the oilfield for them and their crews, our mail carriers, and I make some extra to hand out to various people in the community

I love Santa's whiskers.. Those are something as a child we all to part on. Rolling out sugar cookies is a cherished joy. Cookie cutters over 75 years old and some new ones adorn the table. I make cinnamon cutout and string them along in my kitchen. The memories are priceless.
