Meal planning and prepping tips
I received this great tip from Billie - "I plan what we will have for dinner the next day. This way I know if I have everything on hand that I will need or if I need to pick up something on the way home."
There's nothing worse than making dinner only to find out you're missing an ingredient, right?
- The Chicken and Dumplings Soup freezes great. Leftovers are perfect for lunch as well!
- Cook extra veggies. They make great snacks and second day side dishes options. I always use leftover veggies in kitchen sink soup. (That's a soup where you toss everything in but the kitchen sink!) 😋
- Enjoy dessert this week, those cookies are AMAZING!
Weekly Meal Plan 36
Crockpot French Onion Meatballs

Crockpot French Onion Meatballs are the ultimate fuss-free comfort food-just toss everything in the slow cooker and let it simmer into savory, cheesy goodness. They're fantastic for weeknight dinners served over egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or rice, but they also shine as a crowd-pleasing party snack.
With minimal prep and maximum flavor, this recipe is perfect for meal planning and entertaining alike.
Angel Chicken Casserole

Angel Chicken Casserole is the kind of comfort food that feels like a warm hug at the end of a long day. It's a wonderful weeknight meal because everything bakes together in one dish, saving you time and cleanup. Plus, it's family-friendly and reheats well. Serve it alongside a fresh green salad, roasted asparagus, or simple steamed veggies for a complete dinner that everyone will love.

Chicken and Dumpling Soup
Chicken and Dumplings - does it get any more comforting than this? But unlike the traditional meal that takes hours to make... this is done in just 45 minutes!
Leftover chicken or rotisserie chicken work great in this recipe.
Consider making some dinner rolls or garlic bread to serve with the soup.
Crockpot Beef Stroganoff
Crockpot Beef Stroganoff is a true weeknight winner. It comes together quickly with simple, hearty ingredients, making it ideal for those busy evenings when you don't want to spend hours in the kitchen. It also reheats beautifully, so you can cook once and enjoy it for lunch or dinner the next day, which makes it a smart choice!
Pair it with a crisp green salad, roasted vegetables, or even a side of steamed green beans for a wholesome, well-rounded meal that's both satisfying and stress-free.
Tuna Casserole
Tuna Casserole with Noodles has that retro, family-favorite charm that never goes out of style. Creamy, cheesy, and loaded with tender noodles and flaky tuna, it's hearty enough to stand on its own but still quick and easy for a busy weeknight. Leftovers reheat like a dream!
To round out the meal, try pairing it with roasted carrots, a pan of buttery peas and mushrooms, or even a tangy cucumber and tomato salad for a fresh twist that complements the richness of the casserole.
Grilling favorites for Labor Day
