Why you'll love this recipe

The first time I made this I used leftover chili and though, man this is a winner! Then I decided to make it even simplier AND more delicious! So now this cheesy chill dog casserole comes together in just a few steps so you don't have to worry about much prep work.

Oh and did I mention it's topped with cheesy goodness and tots! Does it get much better than that? 😋

Ingredients

Please refer to the printable recipe card at the bottom of this post for the exact measurements.

  • All beef hot dogs (my preference), turkey dogs or little smokies - another great choice!
  • Canned chili - use your favorite brand.
  • Shredded cheese - I use cheddar cheese, but Monterey Jack, or Colby cheese would be perfect!
  • tater tots or french fries
  • diced onions and sliced green onions

I love to garnish this dish with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of diced onions, or sliced green onions.
