FAQ's
Yes, you can use an air fryer to cook a wide variety of different types of fruit. Some of our favorites include apples, bananas, pineapples, and peaches.
You can, but I dont' know anyone that does. There is no harm in consuming it. If you do, be sure to rinse it thoroughly before eating!
It's easy to prepare a pineapple. You can use a sharp knife (my preference!) Or use a pineapple corer and then slice it into chunks or rings.
To pick a ripe pineapple, look for one that has a bright, golden yellow color and a fresh, sweet smell. You should also be able to slightly press in on the sides of the pineapple without it feeling too soft or mushy.
I have not had good luck with canned pineapple; there's too much liquid
Top Tip
Be sure that your pineapple is in a single layer in the air fryer; this allows the pineapple to cook evenly.
- The cooking time for this recipe depends on the size and ripeness of your pineapple. Be sure to watch it throughout the cooking process and adjust accordingly.
- To get the best results, be sure to use a ripe pineapple. If your pineapple is not quite ripe, you can place it in a paper bag with an apple or banana overnight to help speed up the ripeness process.
Variations
- Try dipping the pineapple in melted chocolate and topping with chopped nuts or shredded coconut for a more decadent version of this recipe
- Add a pinch of nutmeg or allspice to the cinnamon sugar mixture if you want extra flavor!
Storage
Refrigerate - Store leftover air fryer pineapple in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Freezer - You can freeze cooked pineapple for up to 2 months. Just let it cool completely and store in a freezer-safe bag or container.
Reheat - To reheat, thaw at room temperature and then reheat with a few drops of water in the microwave or oven.

Corie says
I absolutely LOVED these! I love pineapple, but a little sensitive to it, so I don’t eat it very often. I seem to be ok with “cooked” pineapple, and this was amazing!!
