FAQ's

Where do I get snowman paper cups?

I purchased them online but you could also make them with craft supplies and foam cups.

Where do I buy the cellophane bag?

I like to purchase it online, but you can also find it at your local craft store or even big box stores during the holiday season.

What kind of paper should I print the snowman soup poem on?

I like to use card stock rectangles because it's thicker, but you can use regular printer paper also.

Things to know

  • The best hot chocolate mix to use is the powdered packet of hot chocolate kind that you just add water to. I like Swiss Miss or Ghirardelli.
  • You can use any type of Hershey Kisses, but I would recommend not using ones with nuts.
  • I love using candy canes as stir sticks, but you could also use regular plastic stirrers instead. Or a mini candy cane if you can find them.

Variations

  • Instead of mini marshmallows if you can find snowman-shaped or Christmas-shaped marshmallows they would be a great addition.
  • Switch up the hot cocoa mix flavors and give out peppermint flavor along with Candy Cane Kisses.
  • Make these into ornaments by adding a ribbon to the top and attaching a gift tag.
  • If you don't have the paper cups you could also gift these in a mug or mason jar with a handle for a cute way to give a reusable gift.
  • Using bulk hot chocolate milk instead? Add enough mix to make a cup of hot chocolate to cone bags and then close the top of the bag tightly.
