FAQ's
This casserole can be made using 3 cups of any type of cooked, canned, or leftover chicken.
Simply prepare the recipe as written until it comes time for baking, then cover the casserole and freeze for up to three months. When you are ready to bake it, transfer the dish from the freezer to the refrigerator to thaw overnight.
Before placing into the oven, remove the cover and top with 1 cup shredded Colby Jack cheese. Because the casserole will still be cold, expect an increase in baking time.
Chicken Bacon Ranch Tater Tot Casserole should be baked uncovered. This allows the tater tots to become crispy, enhancing the texture of the dish.
Of course! If you or someone in your family has a sensitivity to spicy heat, simply decrease the amount of red pepper flakes. You can even omit them altogether. Conversely, if you’d like to spice it up even more, just increase the amount of crushed red pepper.
