FAQ's

Can you use bottled Ranch dressing in this recipe?

No, be sure to use powdered ranch dressing mix.

What kind of chicken do you use in Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta?

You can use any type of cooked shredded chicken, leftover chicken breast, etc. White meat or chicken thighs, whichever you and your family prefer.

Can a rotisserie chicken be used in this recipe?

Absolutely! You can use any leftover cooked chicken.

Why is my casserole watery?

If you added uncooked vegetables to the casserole it can get watery. If adding vegetables, be sure to cook and drain them first. It will also be watering if the pasta isn't drained well.

Things to know

  • Double the recipe and freeze half for the days you don't want to cook, it freezes great.
  • It can be made and assembled the day before (love that!).
  • I love this with a dash of tabasco sauce - hot sauce makes everything better! 😋
  • Add some veggies to the dish would be simple! Use fresh or frozen broccoli, fresh or frozen green beans or frozen peas would be terrific.

  • No cream of chicken? No problem, use cream of mushroom soup or cream of celery soup.
  • Substitute potatoes or rice for the pasta, both are great options. Chicken Bacon Ranch and Potato Casserole is delicious as well!

Sorry Heather, I mislabeled mozzarella cheese as cream cheese in the ingredient photo. That's been corrected. There is no cream cheese in this recipe. I hope you enjoy it!
