- This classic recipe uses canned green beans - though you can use frozen green beans or fresh, you'll just want to blanch them for 3 minutes before adding them to the casserole dish.
- Campbell's cream of mushroom soup - you can substitute other canned soup like cream of celery soup or cream or chicken soup. They would work as well, but it would not give you those classic flavors.
- evaporated milk - heavy cream, half and half or even whole milk would work!
- french-fried onions - I use store-bought, but if you'd like make your own crunchy fried onions, try this recipe!

- Pre-heat the oven. Spray baking dish with non stick cooking spray.
- Open cans of green beans. Drain well. Place in casserole dish.
- Whisk together the evaporated milk and cream of mushroom soup until it is a smooth sauce. Pour the soup mixture over green beans.
- Top French fried onions over the green bean mixture.
- Bake for 20 minutes uncovered.
- Remove from oven. Allow to stand 10 minutes before serving.

- 21 ounces cream of mushroom soup 2 cans.
- ¾ cup evaporated milk
- 2 cups fried onions
