Easy homemade chicken wings
I love this easy recipe because you get perfectly crispy wings with minimal effort. There's no need to thaw the wings, and no deep fryer is needed! That means no messy splattering oil.

- frozen chicken wings
- olive oil
- onion powder
- garlic powder
- salt
- ground black pepper
Instructions

- Add frozen chicken wings to the air fryer.
- Cook for 10 minutes at 400 degrees.
- Remove the wingsand place them in a bowl.
- CAREFULLY pour the water out of the air fryer basket.
- Pour the olive oil over the wings and mix with a spoon or cooking tongs to coat.
- Combine the spices and sprinkle over the chicken.
- Place back in the air fryer in a single layer.
- Cook for an additional 12 minutes flipping halfway through.

No, there's no need to thaw the wings before air frying.

The best way to get crispy wings is to ensure you don't overcrowd the air fryer basket. You want to allow room for the air to move around the wings. Which means that you may need to cook them in batches.

- While you are cooking these wings, be sure that you don't overcrowd the air fryer basket and that you keep the wings in a single layer so that they cook quickly.
- If you want the crispy skin you would get from deep frying, you must add a couple of extra minutes to your cooking time.
Variations
- You can use fresh wings or even thawed wings with this recipe just skip the thawing directions and follow the recipe of this easy recipe.
- If you want to add a little heat to these wings, sprinkle on cayenne pepper, and chili powder or top them with a splash of hot sauce.
- Once your wings are fully cooked, you can toss them in your favorite wing sauce.
Storage
Refrigerate - Store leftover chicken wings in an airtight container for up to three days.
Freezer - Place cooked chicken wings in a freezer-safe container for up to three months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before reheating.
Reheat - Reheat in the air fryer at 350 degrees for 3 to 4 minutes or until warm all the way through.

Air Fryer Frozen Chicken Wings
Ingredients
- 2 pounds chicken wings frozen
- 2 tablespoons olive oil it can be substituted by your favorite cooking oil
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground pepper
Instructions
- Place the frozen chicken wings in the air fryer basket. Place them in a single layer and leave space in between each. You may need to cook in 2 batches.
- Cook in the air fryer setting at 400 degrees F for 10 minutes.
- Remove the wings from the air fryer basket and place them in a bowl.
- If you have more wings to defrost, place them in the air fryer basket and cook them at 400 degrees F for 10 minutes.
- If you don’t have any more to defrost, take the chicken wings out of the air fryer basket, and place them in a large mixing bowl. CAREFULLY pour the water out of the air fryer basket.
- Pour the olive oil over the chicken and mix, using spoon to coat.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the spices. Add onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and ground pepper. Sprinkle over the chicken wings until they are coated with the seasonings.
- Place the wings back in the air fryer. Place on a single layer so they cook evenly.
- Airfry for an additional 12 minutes at 400 degrees F. Flip them after 6 minutes.
- Once the chicken wings have reached 175 degrees F they are cooked.
- Remove from the basket of the air fryer and cool for a few minutes.
- Serve with your favorite wing sauce - blue cheese, barbecue, honey mustard - enjoy!
