- Boneless skinless chicken breasts - though you can use chicken thighs if you prefer.
- Teriyaki sauce or glaze will work for this recipe.
- Though the cornstarch and cold water are optional it's perfect to thicken the sauce.
- Green onions and sesame seeds make a pretty garnish.
And for an extra veggie boost add bell peppers, bean sprouts, broccoli florets, or snap peas to the slow cooker at the last hour of cooking time.

- Prep the crockpot and add the chicken breasts.
- Pour the sauce over the meat.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- When the chicken is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker and shred.
- Whisk the cornstarch and cold water together.
- Pour the cornstarch slurry into the crockpot and whisk to combine. Increase the heat to high. Cover and cook for 10 minutes.
- Return the shredded chicken to the crock pot and toss to coat.

Crockpot Teriyaki Chicken Recipe
Equipment
- 1 Slow Cooker
Ingredients
- 2-3 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts or boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 12 ounces teriyaki sauce or glaze you can use homemade teriyaki sauce as well
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 2 green onions green parts thinly sliced
- 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
Instructions
- Spray the crockpot with non-stick cooking spray.
- Place the chicken breasts in a slow cooker.
- Pour the teriyaki sauce over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- When the chicken is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker and shred with two forks.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk the cornstarch and cold water together.
- Pour into the cornstarch slurry into the slow cooker, and whisk to combine. Increase the heat to high. Cover and cook for 10 minutes.
- Return the shredded chicken to the crock pot and toss to coat the chicken. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve and enjoy!
