Deb's tips for the perfect dish

For easy clean-up, spray your slow cooker well with nonstick cooking spray or use a slow cooker liner if you prefer. The sticky sauce will be messy!

  • Instead of store-bought sauce you can use your own homemade teriyaki sauce.
  • The chicken is done when it easily shreds. The internal temperature should read 165 degrees.

    Storage

Refrigerate - Store leftover teriyaki chicken in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.

Freezer - You can also freeze the cooked chicken in a freezer safe bag or container for up to three months.

Reheat - Reheat individual portions in the microwave on 50% power for 1-2 minutes or until warm all the way through.
