    Things to know

    • Different air fryers cook differently so your cooking time may vary. Start with a test batch to check the cooking time for your hard-boiled eggs recipe.
    • For soft-boiled eggs, cook for 8 minutes at 250 degrees.
    • For extra-large eggs, you may need to cook for 2 minutes longer.
    • If cooking more than 6 eggs, you will need to cook in batches.
    • The ice bath is important to prevent the eggs from overcooking, and it helps them peel better. So, don't forget your bowl of cold water to cool the eggs down quickly.
    • Because you are using hot air instead of boiling water, your eggs are less likely to crack, making these hard-boiled eggs perfect to use for Easter Eggs.
    • Your eggs may have brown spots on them. That does not mean that the eggs are bad. It is just from the hot air.
    • Be sure to place the eggs in a single layer in your air fryer basket. Do not stack the eggs in the basket, you will need to cook in batches if you have more eggs.

    Variations

    • Reduce the cook time by two minutes if you want a soft-boiled egg.
    • Top the eggs with bagel seasoning for a delicious snack
    • You can also use these eggs in your favorite salads for extra protein.
