FAQ's

Can you make it ahead for parties?

Absolutely! The Ocean Breeze Cocktail is perfect make ahead cocktail for a party. Double or triple the ingredients as desired. Add Blue Curacao, coconut rum and sauvignon blanc to a large pitcher and refrigerate. Add chilled soda and ice right before serving.

Can you drink blue curacao straight?

Actually yes you can! Try it over the rocks or with a splash of orange juice, delicious!

Does blue curacao go bad?

Generally liqueurs have a shelf life of about 2 years. So as long as you use it within that time period you're fine!

Are triple sec and blue curacao the same?

Actually yes, they are interchangeable. BUT triple sec won't give your drink that pretty blue color that makes this drink so much fun!

Tips

This drink is so pretty and fun, be sure to finish it with a pretty garnish!

  • orange or lime citrus slices or wheels
  • pineapple wedges or chunks
  • skewered chunks of papaya or mango
  • melon wedges or balls
  • topping with a cocktail parasol just adds to the fun!

When possible, use a chilled cocktail glass.

If you are pool-side, serve these in a plastic cup or glass just in case. No one wants to worry about broken glass and bare feet around the pool!

Typically this is served in a highball glass, but really you can use whatever glass you prefer.
