    Frequently asked questions (FAQ’s)

Do you take the white rind off brie before baking?

Yes, you should remove the rind from the brie before baking. The rind becomes tough and chewy when baked.

Should brie be covered when baking?

No need to cover brie. Covering the cheese will prevent it from browning and bubbling up.

Should brie be at room temperature before baking?

The brie can be baked straight from the refrigerator. It will take a bit longer to bake, but it won't affect the texture or flavor of the cheese.

How do you know when brie is done?

Brie is done when it is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. The center should be slightly soft.

    Creative variations to try

    • Try adding different tree nuts, such as walnuts or almonds. You can also add dried cranberries for a festive look.
    • For a savory version, try topping the brie with cooked and crumbled bacon or diced tomatoes.
    • If you want an extra kick of flavor, sprinkle some herbs like rosemary or thyme over the top of the brie.
