FAQ's
A strata is simply a layered casserole.
The bread in the strata should soak for 8-12 hours.
If you're soaking the bread overnight it should be refrigerated.
Things to know
The raspberries and hint of orange are just the right amount of pop for a Saturday morning.
The center is creamy and like a custard while the top of the strata is crunchy. It's by far one of the best things I've made!
Variations
Substitute blackberries or blueberries, yum! You can even use frozen berries, just allow them to thaw first and drain well.
Chopped walnuts, hazelnuts or macadamia nuts are fabulous in this recipe!
Storage
Refrigerate - allow leftovers to cool completely. Cover with plastic wrap or place in an airtight container.
Reheat - Reheat in the microwave or bake for 20 minutes or so until the casserole is warmed.
