Try smoked paprika, diced green chiles would be amazing! Or a splash of buffalo sauce would add a great kick!

Deb's top tips
For ultra creamy chicken, don't skip the shredding! Shred it in the crockpot about 30 minutes prior to serving. Allow the chicken to soak up all that deliciousness!
- If you want to thicken the sauce, you can whisk together 1-2 tablespoons of cornstarch with a little water and add it to the slow cooker during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Use chicken thighs for extra juiciness!
Creative variations to try
- For a thinner sauce add a little more chicken broth or skim milk.
- Instead of chicken you can also make this dish with boneless pork chops.
- You can also top the chicken with cheddar cheese if you love a cheesy chicken recipe.
- Out of cream cheese? You can use mayo or sour cream for this recipe instead. However the sauce will be a little thinner.
- If you enjoy a spicy kick to your food, use a Fiesta Ranch packet or add a dash of cayenne pepper or crushed red pepper flakes to this recipe.
How to store leftovers
This chicken can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
You could also freeze it for 2-3 months in a freezer safe container. Thaw in the fridge overnight before reheating.
Reheat in the microwave for one or two minutes or in a skillet on the stove until warm all the way through.

Oooh how yummy, that sounds fantastic Patty!

I made this today and we loved it. There was a lot of sauce but that was good as the noodles and chicken soaked it up.
Thanks for the recipe!

Could I use this as a dip with tortilla chips?
Bowl Me Over says
You bet! The slow cooker ranch chicken has plenty of flavor. If you want, you could even top it with some shredded cheddar cheese or Monterey Jack cheese. That would be super yummy!
Linda says
The flavor was great, but WAY too runny. Also, the chicken cooked in 2.5 hours (after cutting boneless breasts to smaller sizes).
Bowl Me Over says
Glad you enjoyed the recipe Linda, that's great! Hmmm... it makes sense it took half the time to cook if the chicken is cut into pieces. I'm curious on the sauce though, did you use a jar of dressing or the packet?
Shareen says
This turned out fantastic! I served it over rotini pasta and portioned it into individual meal-prep containers. It tasted great even on the last day so we're making it again this week! It's very easy, yummy, and very affordable
