Frequently asked questions (FAQ’s)
To make a bubble pizza, you will need to toss biscuit pieces in a sauce, then top with cheese and your favorite pizza toppings and bake.
A bubble-up casserole is a type of casserole that is made with biscuits, sauce, and cheese. It gets its name from the way the biscuits bubble up during the baking process.
Bubble pizza should be cooked at 375 degrees. If your oven runs hot, you can turn it down to 350 degrees.
Deb’s tips for the perfect dish
Use the small biscuits for the recipe, not the larger ones. For some reason, the small biscuits rise better in this bubble-up pizza recipe.
- If you want a little extra flavor, add garlic powder and Italian sausage to the sausage as it browns.
- Be sure to drain the grease off your Italian sausage so that your pizza bake is not too greasy.
- This recipe is easily doubled for a larger crowd. Just use two baking dishes.
How to store leftovers
Refrigerate - This dish will keep in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Be sure to keep it in an airtight container or wrapped tightly with plastic wrap.
Freezer - You can freeze this dish before baking for up to 2 months. Thaw on in the fridge overnight before baking.
Reheat - To reheat, bake in a 350-degree oven for 15-20 minutes or until heated through. You can also reheat in the microwave on 50% power for 1-3 minutes.

Made this tonight! Your tip about adding poultry seasoning to hamburger works great! Since I didn't have any pepperoni, I used venison summer sausage, that I sliced thin and then quartered. I also didn't have marinara or pizza sauce, so I used spaghetti sauce that I added sugar, garlic salt, onion powder and ground oregano to. It was a huge hit!! Thank you so much for your recipe inspiration!

I also didn't have marinara or pizza sauce, so I used spaghetti sauce that I added sugar, garlic salt, onion powder and ground oregano to. Since I didn't have any canned biscuits, I made bisquick biscuit dough, refrigerated it on parchment paper and cut into dumplings.
It was a huge hit!! Thank you so much for your recipe inspiration!
