Frequently asked questions (FAQ's)

Which brand of onion rings should I get?

You can use any brand or variety of frozen onion rings for this recipe. Just make sure to adjust the cooking time and temperature according to the package instructions.

Can you re-freeze leftovers?

No, I don't recommend refreezing any leftovers. They just won't taste good frying a second time. Eat and enjoy!

Deb's tips for the perfect dish

Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket. Arrange the frozen onion rings in a single layer. Leave space between each one to ensure they cook evenly and get crispy.

  • Serve them immediately after cooking for the crispiest results!

How to store leftovers

Refrigerate - These onion rings are best enjoyed fresh and crispy, but if you have leftovers, you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Reheat - To reheat, place the onion rings in the air fryer and cook at 375°F for 3-5 minutes, until heated through and crispy.

More great appetizers and dips

I'm such a fan of finger food and keeping it easy is definitely how to roll! Here's a few easy favorite recipes to enjoy if you're putting out a spread for the Super Bowl:

  • Puffy Tacos - easy, crunchy and everyone's favorite!
  • Rotel Sausage Dip - excellent and this can be made ahead. Keep it in a small crockpot so it stays warm and bubbly.
  • Ground Turkey Sliders - so moist and tender. These are yummy!

Be sure to serve your air fryer frozen onion rings with the Blooming Onion Sauce. The Cilantro Garlic Sauce would be amazing, too!
