Why you'll love a Golden Cadillac

This first time I had this cocktail it was at Poor Red's bar-b-q in El Dorado county in California. It was invented in this run-down biker bar and was the last thing you'd expect to be served!

However it's a great cocktail and here's why. It's Quick and easy to make and perfect for any occasion.

This golden-hued cocktail with a frothy head that is the great for after dinner. Celebrating Christmas, New Years Eve or any special occasion!

Ingredients you'll need

For the exact measurements, please refer to the printable recipe card at the bottom of this post.

  • heavy cream
  • white crème de cacao
  • yellow Galliano - Galliano is a sweet Italian herbal liqueur. There are several different flavors, be sure to grab the vanilla (yellow) bottle, it's a key ingredient.
  • ice cubes

Creative variations

  • A scoop of vanilla ice cream floating in the cocktail turns this into dessert or a grown-up sundae!
  • I use a blender to make this cocktail, but you can use a cocktail shaker instead if you prefer, but you won't get the frothy top on the drink.
  • For a Dairy-Free Golden Cadillac, use almond milk or coconut milk in place of the heavy cream.
  • You can also use chocolate liqueur in place of the white creme de cacao.
  • To make this cocktail even more chocolatey add a sprinkle of cocoa powder or fresh shaved chocolate to the top of this frothy drink.

Step-by-step instructions
