Frequently asked questions (FAQ’s)
S'mores are little treats that are believed to have been invented and named by the Girl Scouts. They are two graham crackers with a piece of chocolate and a roasted marshmallow sandwiched in between.
Yes, one great thing about this pie is that you can make it up to 24 hours in advance so you can save time in the kitchen.
It's easier to use the broiler! But you need to watch it carefully so they don't get too toasty. I've made this pie both ways! The torch makes it super easy to control how brown the marshmallows get.

Deb’s tips for the perfect dish
The evaporated milk adds a rich flavor to the pudding mixture, so I recommend that you use it. Regular milk works too, but the evaporated makes it so much creamier!
- While you are shopping for your ingredients at the grocery store, make sure that you pick up instant pudding mix and not the cook-to-serve mix.
- When it comes to slicing a pie that has a creamy or pudding filling, if you dip the knife in hot water and clean it off between slices, you will get clean and even slices every time.
Creative variations to try
- I love the classic flavor of graham crackers for S'mores; however, if you want something a little different, use an Oreo pie crust.
- Love peanut butter? Try placing Reese's peanut butter cups between the layers of pudding and marshmallows.
How to store leftovers
Refrigerate - Store the pie in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. I like to cover my pie with plastic wrap to keep it fresh.
Freezer - You can also freeze the pie; just wrap it in plastic wrap and aluminum foil and store it in the freezer for up to three 3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before serving.

No Bake S'Mores Pie Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 9" premade graham cracker pie crust
- 3.2 ounce package chocolate pudding
- 12 ounce can evapoarted milk
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 10-12 regular marshmallows (optional)
Instructions
- Add 1 ½ cups of mini marshmallows to the bottom of the pie crust.
- Pour the evaporated milk into a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle in the chocolate pudding into the milk and whisk as per package directions.
- Pour the creamy chocolate pudding into the graham cracker crust, over the mini marshmallows. Refrigerate for four hours.
- Top the pie with the marshmallows. Scatter with a few of the regular-sized marshmallows. I sliced a few in half to give it a little texture here and there. Fill in the holes with remaining mini marshmallows.
- Preheat the broiler in the oven. Move the rack to the top. When the broiler is heated, slide the pie underneath the broiler. It will only take 30 seconds or so to brown the marshmallows. Watch it carefully, or they will burn. (Alternatively, if you have small torch you can use that to brown the marshmallows that way.)
- Refrigerate until you're ready to slice and serve the pie. Enjoy!
