Foodie FriDIY 104 – Summertime fun!
Welcome back another Foodie FriDIY – I hope you are having a fabulous summer! We’ve been having loads of fun doing some visiting, spending time outside and kayaking, lots of cookouts and bbq’s, gotta love it! My wish for you is that you are having the best summer ever!
Starting off with our yummy features this week and I think it’s time to jump right in –
My favorite summertime aroma is lavender. Whenever I walk by a lavender plant I find myself touching the stalk just so that beautiful aroma can transfer to my hand and I can enjoy it longer. To learn how to harvest & store lavender, plus some great DIY options head over to Garden Therapy to learn all of her tricks and secrets!
Did that green catch your eye? Well it certainly did mine and then when I learned it is not from Dr. Seuss, but a super yummy vinaigrette I was ready to dive right in! Stop by Pancake Warriors to learn how to make her Mango Lime Vinaigrette!
That beautiful Strawberry Peach Crostata is from Growing Up Gabel – you know me and strawberries… 😀 this looks just heavenly!
Next how about a burger? Not just any burger, but a Sweet ‘n’ Southern Burger from Just 2 Sisters – using chicken, mango and marmalade! What a GREAT combination of flavors!!
Last but not least, is one of mine – a Slow Cooker Mushroom Burger inspired by our recent trip to Hawaii. I LOVE this burger!! Swing by and check it out (and you can also see my sweet little Hawaiian Granddaughter! 😀 )
So now it’s time for you to link up your amazing creations – DIY and recipes for Foodie FriDIY 103 – bring it on! I can’t wait to see your new projects and yummy recipies and while you’re at it, take a moment after linking up to tweet, post and share your link. If you drop your link on my Facebook page, I’ll make sure to give you some extra love! (Please include the number from the link up so I can easily find you!)
WE’RE NOT REALLY A RULES-TYPE PARTY. BUT HERE’S WHAT WE DO ASK –
1. Link up your favorite recipes and projects from your own blog. Roundups are fine as long as they include links to the recipes or DIY projects. Please DO NOT link a post without a recipe, project, craft, or tutorial.
2. We’d be truly grateful if you shared our party to other food and DIY blog friends so others can join in the fun! Tweet us. Share us on Facebook (the party will go up on my Facebook page on Thursday evening, if you’d like to share from there). However you can help us spread the word, we appreciate!
3. It’s not a requirement of course, but if you can, try to visit another link or two and leave a thoughtful comment. Give someone a shout out on social media. Use the hashtag #FoodieFriDIY…we’re trying to grow a community for all of us, and it’s always nice to make new friends.
