Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Lightly spray the bottom of the casserole dish with non stick cooking spray. This will help crisp up the bottom of the sliders.
Dice the onion and bell pepper into a half-inch dice.
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the diced bell peppers and onions. Seasoning with the Montreal steak seasoning. Brown until no longer pink. Drain well.
Add the sloppy joe sauce, and mix together to combine.
Using a large serrated knife, slice the rolls in half so you have a ‘slab’ of tops and a ‘slab’ of bottoms. Do not separate the rolls or slice them individually. They should stay connected.
Place the bottom half of the rolls in the bottom of the casserole dish. Spoon the meat mixture over the top and spread evenly. Sprinkle with shredded cheese. Add the top slab of rolls.
Melt one teaspoon of butter. Brush the top of the sliders with butter. Finish by sprinkling with Italian seasoning.
Cover with foil, place in preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove foil for the last 2-3 minutes so the tops of the rolls are golden brown. Serve and enjoy!

Notes
Store leftover sandwiches in an airtight container in the fridge for up to four days. You can freeze the ground beef mixture in a freezer-safe bag for up three months. However, I don't recommend freezing the assembled sandwiches. For the best taste, I recommend reheating the sandwiches in the oven at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until warm all the way through.
