Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Spray 9 x 13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray, set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, place the chicken thighs. Trimmed of any excess fat.
In a small bowl, add the salt, paprika, onion powder, thyme, garlic powder, and brown sugar. Mix to combine.
Gently rub the spices on the chicken thighs.
Place the chicken thighs in the prepared casserole dish.
Bake, uncovered for 20 minutes in the preheated oven.
Take the baking dish out and brush the BBQ sauce on the chicken thighs.
Put back in the oven and bake, uncovered 35 to 38 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F. Baste them again halfway through.
Take it out of the oven. Rest for 3 to 4 minutes before serving.
