With only 15 minutes of prep, let the crockpot do all the work for this easy steak dinner recipe! The gravy is rich and delicious and great over potatoes or buttered garlic noodles.
2 .87ounce packets brown gravy mix(that's the dry packets of gravy mix)
¾cupbeef broth
Salt and pepper to tasteI used ¾ teaspoon of salt and ¼ teaspoon pepper.

Instructions
Dice the beef into bite-sized pieces. Place in the crockpot.
Clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel. Trim off the dry ends. Add to the crockpot. Dice the onion and add to the crockpot as well.
Drizzle the beef, mushroom and onions with olive oil. Toss to coat.
Season the beef cubes with the Montreal steak seasoning. Toss to ensure that each piece is well coated.
Whisk together the French onion soup, dry brown gravy mix, and stock until well combined in a separate bowl.
Pour the gravy mixture over the beef in the slow cooker.
Set the slow cooker to low and let it cook for 6-8 hours or until the beef is tender and cooked to your liking.
Taste the gravy and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper if necessary.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a burst of color and added freshness.
Notes
Serve the steak bites over mashed potatoes, rice, or your favorite side dish. Spoon some of the delicious gravy over the top.Optional - If you want to thicken the gravy even more, add one heaping tablespoon of cornstarch to a tablespoon of cold water. Whisk to form a slurry. Pour into the crockpot for the last 30 minutes of cooking.
