Frequently asked questions (FAQ's)
Yes! In fact, this is a great make-ahead dessert. Bake the cake a day in advance, let it cool completely, and store it tightly covered. You can frost it the next day before serving.
Yes! Evaporated milk or unsweetened oat milk can be substituted 1:1 for regular milk. Evaporated milk will give the cake a slightly richer flavor, while oat milk works well for a lighter option.
Most recently I've been using Baker's Joy baking spray. It contains flour and does a great job of getting into all those little grooves in a Bundt pan and keeping the cake from sticking.
Spray the pan thoroughly, including around the center tube, just before adding the batter. After baking, let the cake cool in the pan for 10 to 15 minutes before carefully turning it out onto a cooling rack.
Cream cheese frosting is my favorite for this cake. I use my Nothing Bundt Cake Frosting Recipe to make those thick ribbons that run from the top of the cake down the sides. It's sweet, tangy, and holds its shape beautifully for piping.

Deb's top tips
Once the ingredients are combined, don't overmix the batter. Mix just until everything is smooth, then finish with a quick stir by hand to make sure there aren't any dry pockets at the bottom of the bowl.
Overmixing can develop too much structure and give your Bundt cake a springier, tougher texture instead of that soft, tender crumb we're after.
