Equipment

  • 1 high speed blender or smoothie maker

Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 large frozen banana
  • 3 tablespoons almond butter
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons shredded coconut
  • ¼ teaspoon coconut extract optional but magical
  • handful of ice
  • pinch of salt optional
  • 1-2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips or coconut flakes for topping optional but let’s be honest… highly encouraged!!

Instructions

  • Add everything to the blender in the order listed.
  • Blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Taste and adjust the sweetness or coconut flavor.
  • Pour into a tall glass and add a few chocolate chips or coconut flakes on top if you’re feeling fancy.

Notes

If you like a sweeter smoothie, add a tablespoon of maple syrup.
