Equipment

  • 1 9x13 casserole dish

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pound ground beef
  • 30 ounces Manwich Sloppy Joe Sauce that's two cans of sauce.
  • 1 cup frozen peppers and onions
  • 8 slices Texas Toast Garlic Bread
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Spray casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Place the garlic bread in the bottom of the casserole dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 minutes. Remove, set aside.
  • Brown the ground beef over medium heat in a large skillet, drain the grease.
  • Add the frozen peppers and onions to the meat. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender. Then add the sloppy joe sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Spoon the saucy meat mixture over the baked garlic bread. Sprinkle with the shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the casserole is hot and bubbly.
  • If desired, place the casserole under the broiler for 1-2 minutes or until the top of the casserole is golden brown. Enjoy!

Notes

**For the garlic bread, I used Texas Toast. You could also use leftover garlic bread and if that's the case, just bake it until it's crispy.
**I used the Manwhich Thick and Chunky Brand
