Equipment

  • Baking sheet

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter softened
  • 4-6 cloves garlic minced
  • ¾ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 12" baguettes
  • 8-10 sticks Mozzarella string cheese
  • 4 sliced olives you can use green or black olives, whichever you prefer!

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Prepare the baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper, and set it aside.
  • Combine the butter, minced garlic, parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning.
  • With a long serrated knife, slice the baguettes in half. Generously spread the butter mixture on each sliced side of the bread. Place on the cookie sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and toasty.
  • While the bread is baking, separate the string cheese into strips. Slice the olive in half.
  • Remove the bread from the oven, lay the strips of string cheese haphazardly over the body of the of the bread. Place sliced olive "eyes" on the top.
  • Return to the oven for just a minute or two until the cheese just begins to melt.

Notes

The more haphazard the strips are for the mummy, the better this will look!
Do not let the cheese melt completely; it will simply turn into cheesy bread with eyes.
