Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter softened
  • 4-6 cloves garlic minced
  • ¾ cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 French baguette sliced

Instructions

  • Slice the baguette in half lengthwise. Lay the two halves of the bread loaf on a large piece of aluminum foil.
  • In a small mixing bowl, combine the butter, garlic, Italian seasoning and parmesan cheese.
  • Spread the garlic butter in a thick layer over each cut side of the bread.
  • Put the two halves back together and wrap well with foil. Store it in the freezer for later use. This is also a great time to portion the bread into servings for smaller families. Just be sure to wrap it well.
  • Bake, thawed, 20 minutes at 375 °. If frozen, add 10 minutes to your baking time.
  • Optional - Before serving, remove the foil and open the bread, laying it flat on a baking sheet. Place under the broiler for one to two minutes for the top of the bread to get crispy.
