Great Grandma Darnell's Blueberry Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 4 cups blueberries washed
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup butter softened
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup boiling water

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  • Grease and flour an 8x8 inch pan.
  • Combine the blueberries, ½ cup sugar and 1 tablespoon flour. Mix well, set aside.
  • Cream together ¼ cup butter and ½ cup sugar.
  • Sift together 1 cup flour, baking powder and salt. Add to the creamed butter and sugar. Add the milk and blend together. Spread in the bottom of the 8x8 inch pan. 
  • Pour the berry mixture on top of the dough. 
  • Over all, pour 1 cup boiling water. 
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
