Ground Beef Taco Dip
Easy to make, perfect party food and a fun dipper for Cinco de Mayo!
Servings 12 servings
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- ¾ cup water
- 2 envelopes taco seasoning divided
- 2 cups sour cream
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 roma tomatoes seeds removed, diced
- ¼ cup red onion finely chopped
- ¼ cup cilantro
- ½ cup sliced black olives
Add sour cream and cream cheese to a medium mixing bowl. Beat to combine until smooth. Add one envelope of taco seasoning - mixing until combined.
Spread into bottom of 9x9 baking dish and refrigerate while you're browning the beef.
Then In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain excess grease. Add water and 1 envelope taco seasoning; cook until thickened. Cool slightly.
Spread ground beef mixture over cream cheese.
Top ground beef layer with shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, cilantro and olives. Serve with your favorite chips and enjoy!
