⅓cup Frank's Red Hot SauceIf you like spice add up to a ½ cup.
1cupshredded cheese
1packet ranch dressing mix
28 ouncetater tots
2tablespoons butter
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Prepare casserole dish by spraying with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl add cream of chicken soup, mix cream cheese, and evaporated milk, hot sauce and ranch dressing mix. Whisk together well until creamy. You may have a few lumps in it, that's ok.
Fold in chicken and shredded cheese.
Spoon chicken mixture into prepared baking dish. Top with a single layer of tater tots.
Brush tops of tater tots with butter. This will help them really crisp up!
Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is hot and bubbly and the tots are crispy!
Allow to sit for 5-10 minutes before serving. Garnish with thinly sliced green onions or diced celery.
Notes
Substitute lean ground beef or ground chicken if you'd prefer. Just be sure to brown it well and drain any fat. If you'd prefer this hot dish can be made in the slow cooker, assemble the sauce, adding the chicken and cheese as directed above. Then spoon into the crockpot. Arrange the tater tots in an even layer on top. Finish with any remaining cheese. Cover and cook on low 4-6 hours.
