From my home to yours
I bet you’re thinking why is she talking about grilling steaks in the dead of winter? Well, whether you’re in sunny California or in a cold climate looking at a pile of snow, this needs to be made for dinner this weekend! It’s a quick marinade – takes 10 minutes to toss together. From there you marinade your steaks (chicken, shrimp or tofu) and that’s it! So if you’re trying to impress your sweetie, or a single guy and want to toss a steak on the grill, it’s time to fire up the barbie, indoors or out!
- 2 cups soy sauce
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 1 inch piece ginger root, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, grated
- ¼ cup sesame seed oil
1 bunch green onions, chopped (green & white parts)
Combine all ingredients in a Ziploc bag. Mix well, add meat. Tuck it in the refrigerator for two hours. To be safe, I always put the Ziploc bag in a large bowl in case it springs a leak. Marinade 2-3 pounds of steak or chicken about 2 hours. If using shrimp or tofu, reduce marinade time to 1/2 hour. Grill & enjoy!
p.s. my hubby LOVES this, gets two thumbs up in his review!
Not only delicious on steak or chicken, try Teriyaki Noodles!
