Foodie FriDIY 103 – Come join the party!
Hey – welcome back, it’s time for Foodie FriDIY 103- for those of you in the United States, I hope you had a beautiful holiday and best wishes that everyone is having a GREAT summer! It’s time for another great party and welcome back. I’ve been pretty quiet this week…in fact I haven’t even gotten a blog out, ugh! In addition to having fun on the 4th, we did some volunteer this week at Bass Lake, CA.
Bass Lake is located about 30 miles south of Yosemite, 30 miles north of Fresno. It’s a beautiful lake and with the long holiday weekend lots of visitors! Unfortunately not everyone picks up after themselves and so my hubby organized an after-party rubbish removal. We cleaned about 1/4 miles of lakeshore, day-use areas and the road. Just trying to do our part! Yep, it was hot and icky work, but we still had fun no matter what!
Ok…enough of me….how about you? What fun have YOU been up to? Please link up your amazing creations and fun new foods! Here are this week’s features!
Starting off our features with a Quick and Easy Zucchini Squash Pasta! Doesn’t this look yummy? Light and healthy too, love this dish from the Money Saving Queen! And if you’re thinking of a party why not make this yummy 7 Layer Greek Dip?!! This is from Mainly Homemade. I think it looks just delicious and what an easy appetizer! Next up – Grilled Peaches with Mascarpone – a simple and perfect dessert from the Domestic Life Stylist! On the bottom left are Rainbow Veggie Kabobs – I think the look so terrific, I just might grill up some this weekend myself! Last but not least on the bottom left is not something to eat….but a Kiwi Strawberry Lip Scrub! (I know it looks good enough to eat!) this keeps in the fridge for about a week, wouldn’t this be fun to make with your tween? I’m going to do this with my niece when she comes to visit next month! Head on over to A Cultivated Nest to learn how to make this fun DIY project!
So now it’s time for you to link up your amazing creations – DIY and recipes for Foodie FriDIY 103 – bring it on! I can’t wait to see your new projects and yummy recipies and while you’re at it, take a moment after linking up to tweet, post and share your link. If you drop your link on my Facebook page, I’ll make sure to give you some extra love! (Please include the number from the link up so I can easily find you!)
WE’RE NOT REALLY A RULES-TYPE PARTY. BUT HERE’S WHAT WE DO ASK –
1. Link up your favorite recipes and projects from your own blog. Roundups are fine as long as they include links to the recipes or DIY projects. Please DO NOT link a post without a recipe, project, craft, or tutorial.
2. We’d be truly grateful if you shared our party to other food and DIY blog friends so others can join in the fun! Tweet us. Share us on Facebook (the party will go up on my Facebook page on Thursday evening, if you’d like to share from there). However you can help us spread the word, we appreciate!
3. It’s not a requirement of course, but if you can, try to visit another link or two and leave a thoughtful comment. Give someone a shout out on social media. Use the hashtag #FoodieFriDIY…we’re trying to grow a community for all of us, and it’s always nice to make new friends.
